Lost & Found Art is creative reuse of reclaimed post industrial materials. Since 2003 Denise Rowcroft has gathered materials, found on the streets, trails, under the lifts and in the backcountry, in garages and salvage yards, at rebuilding stores, thrift stores, and in the back rooms of local businesses, honing her sharp eye for the potential of what these leftover materials could become.

Arranging the pieces, from larger wall art to jewelry including earrings, bracelets, pendants, and necklaces, is a creative endeavor that involves a mess of all the materials I've gathered. Materials include vintage buttons, spools and scraps of bailing and electrical wire, muffin tins of glass and beads, piles of bicycle cogs and found machinery gears, jars of various sized washers, and anything else I find that I am pulled to gather to give lost items a new purpose by pairing it with different materials and putting it in a new context.

This collaboration of naturally occurring materials and human processed post-industrial materials results in unique pieces of wearable sculpture or wall art that embody the essence of balance.

masculine & feminine. rusty & shiny. old & new.
industrial & organic. lost & found.
